Mick Pascal finished 5^th at the downhill World Championships

Mick shows once again that he is one of the best rider in the world when it comes to mud because the rain transformed the track into a battle field. Mick has made us dream, especially when he went with the fastest time in the first split. Passed the finish line Mick even took Sam Hill out of the hotseat.

The team is very proud of this results and it proves that there is many ways to achieve your goals. The way Mick decided to follow with Morewood United Ride is one that resembles him meaning to ride with the same passion that he had 15 years ago without letting any trends come in the way. With his high handlebar, his full out rebound suspension and his flat pedals, Mick propelled his Morewood Makulu.

Tim Bentley did his best result of the year and finished 32^nd despite a crash at the end of the track.

3 years ago, the Morewood United Ride team was borned, it was a small national team who represented Morewood. Today the team evolved and grew but the same spirit stays: Dream, Ride, Share..

3 years ago who knew that one day one of the rider would do a top 5 at the world championships? This top 5 is a good way to end an awesome season and today at Champery the Morewood United Ride shone in front of the biggest international teams.

Mick says:

“I had a good run even though there is some parts of the track were I could have done better, but it was so easy to do big mistakes and I’m glad I didn’t crash. I’m happy to finish the international season that way.”

Fabien says:

“Watching a world championship and not be able to ride is always really frustrating. This weekend in Champéry Mick made me forget my foot injury.  Mick really made me vibrate so much that when he passed I totally forgot to take pictures of him. As the team manager I’m very proud to have a rider in the top 5 at the worlds. “

Ce week-end à Champéry Mick Pascal prend la 5eme place des Championnats du Monde de Descente.

Mick nous prouve encore une fois qu’il est bien l’un des pilotes au monde les plus à l’aise dans la boue car la pluie avait transformé la piste de Champéry en vraie torrent. Mick nous a fait rêver surtout quand il est passé avec le meilleur temps au premier intermédiaire. A son arrivé Mick s’est même payé le luxe de sortir du hotseat Sam Hill.

L’équipe est vraiment très fière de ce résultat car cela prouve une fois de plus qu’il n’y a pas qu’un chemin qui mène aux résultats mais bien une infinité.
En l’occurrence, le chemin que Mick a choisit avec le team MOREWOOD UNITED-RIDE est un chemin qui lui ressemble. C’est à dire rouler avec la même passion et la même fougue qu’il a depuis 15 ans sans se laisser influencer par les phénomènes de mode. Avec son guidon ultra relevé, ses suspensions à la détente ouverte en grand et bien sur ses pédales plates qu’il n’a jamais quitté, Mick a propulsé son MOREWOOD Makulu aux avant poste.

Tim Bentley quand à lui signe aussi son meilleur résultat de la saison avec une 32eme place malgré une chute en fin de parcours.

Il y a 3 saisons, le team MOREWOOD UNITED était né, à l’époque c’était une petite équipe nationale qui représentait MOREWOOD. Aujourd’hui l’équipe a évolué et a grandit mais l’esprit reste le même Dream Ride Share. .
Il y a 3 ans personne n’aurait parié qu’un jour un rider du team rentrerait dans les 5 meilleurs d’un Championnat du Monde.  Ce top 5 est la cerise sur le gâteau d’une excellente saison et aujourd’hui à Champéry le team a brillé devant de grandes équipes internationales.

Mick dit:

« J’ai fait un bon run malgré quelques passages où j’ai un peu trop assuré, mais c’était tellement facile de faire de partir à la faute que je suis vraiment content d’être arrivé en bas sans tomber. Je suis vraiment content de terminer ma saison internationale sur cette bonne place»

Fabien dit:

« Regarder un Championnat du Monde et ne pas pouvoir rouler pour moi c’est toujours frustrant. Ce week-end à Champéry Mick m’a fait totalement oublier ma blessure au pied. Il m’a vraiment fait vibrer à tel point que quand il est passé j’ai totalement oublié de le prendre en photo. En tant que team manager je suis très fier d’avoir un pilote qui fait dans le top 5 aux Championnats du Monde. »
